PIGS!

Tonight we got the pigs! 6 total. The kids love the baby pigs.

However, their neighbors had to check them out...I think they were a little uneasy about the upkeep of the pigs living next door! :)

We saw a lot of other animals at the Columbus Zoo yesterday, but I didn't have enough time to make a post about that yet...check back tomorrow or this weekend, I hope!

Fun, Fun, Fun!

We have all been busy taking in the great weather when we get it by doing some fun things. The girls have all been swimming...many times unbelievably! Last Thursday the water was 62 degrees, but that didn't stop them, not even Emma! Today it was back up in the low 70's, but you won't catch me IN the water until the water is at least 82! I have gotten in up to my knees, that is it...I'm a wimp!

Last Friday we went to Aunt Trisha's house in Ft. Wayne and then made our way to Rose Park! It is absoutely beautiful this time of year! If you have never been there and you like roses, must go! We took tons of photos (since both of us have a new camera) and had a blast! The kids got tired of us saying go stand over there, go climb that tree, sit by that stone...but they were troopers. I even got the pleasure of taking my sister -in-laws first true "family photo." It isn't near professional, but hey I never promised her anything! :) I've got so much learning to do with shutter speed, lighting, and aperture that my head sometimes spins trying to remember all I read. Maybe in 15 years I'll get a really good picture, but until then, I'm gonna have fun "playing" around!

Then Saturday we were in the parade for Central...we walked and it seemed a bit shorter this year and a bit more enjoyable, but maybe it was b/c we knew we were going to meet up with my long lost friend, Jodi! We ate up town then went to "Tocky Top" (Rocky Top) as Emma calls it and then headed to the Children's garden at Smiley Park. We had such Fun! Thanks, Jodi!

Yesterday we relaxed by the pool and I read Twilight...yes I know I said I'd never read that silly book about vampires, but I must admit...I am now hooked! I even stayed up way past my bedtime to finish the silly thing.

Today was back to work, but tomorrow is going to be Wonderful! I've, ok We've been looking forward to this since last year. My college babes are getting together for the Annual Zoo Trip! I'll definately post all the details later in the week, with some pics! Well, here are some of the pics I took this weekend. I hope they don't hurt your eyes too bad...remember I'm new to this! Sorry you all have to be my guinnea pigs! ;)

2nd and Last update in May!

Whew! Almost missed it...I can't believe it is almost June! The kids are now out of school for summer break, so now I can say I have a 4th grader, 2nd grader, and a 2-day -a-week pre-schooler! Wow! I can't believe it! Time really does fly! So what have we been up to? Well, lets see...

*Had Laine's 9th b-day party * went racing as a family * girls went swimming ( I have only got my feet in and that was even tough to do * got to visit with my far off California friend, thanks for the visit Ms. April * Had my sister here and she took pics of the b-day party (which I don't have yet so when I get them, ya'll can see them...Hint, Hint sis!) * got to meet a new JERANDAN daughter, Miss Carley Samantha joined the JERANDAN Sorority! * visited with Miss Trinity...she is growing so fast! * FINALLY ordered and received my new camera (after months and months and months of research, discussions and hours on the computer and in the stores....and yes I'm in love with it...however I have LOTS to learn! I can't wait to educate myself (poor kids are going to get tired of seeing it in their faces all the time...oh well, they'll get over it ha ha!) * got to see the cutest little Lab pups. * Had a pre-memorial day cookout, yummy! Thanks for everyone that came...it was fun! Gotta love those summer cookouts! * Kids are now out of school and are already bored...can you believe it! UGH! Don't worry I already put them to work today...cleaning out the play room.

Ok, Ok Already we are still around!

I know it has been a month, but man it has flew by!!!
We have been busy, and stressed, but life as we know it will soon slow down a bit....I hope. School is almost out, I passed my test (thank goodness), we did a track meet, tried to go racing, babysat here and there, got pictures taken of the girls (I'll try to post next time), had a new addition added to the JERANDAN crew (another girl of course...is there anything else?!?), relay for life, 4-H, birthdays, and a whole list of other things, that I won't bore you with at this point. I will try to post some pictures soon, but I don't have time tonight! I just had to post a little something so that some of you (uh-humm, I won't mention any names -Jamie D and Carole) will let me be! :) I'll try to be a better blogger, but you know summer's comin' ( I hear 80's in the forcast for Wed.)
