Jerandan & Spoor Contracting's 3rd Annual Hog Roast

The slide show you have just viewed was compliments of the 3rd Annual Jerandan/Spoor Contractings Hog Roast - 2008

FUN! FOOD! BEVERAGES! CORN HOLE! POKER! FUN!

Saturday was the 3rd Annual Hog Roast. If you recall, a while back I spoke of the joys of watching the boys load up the hogs....well one of those "Little Piggies" we roasted up and wow, it was delicious and not so little! BBQ pulled pork is awesome! There were tons of friends and family that came and shared the day with us. It was so much fun to see and talk with everyone. Although, I never get to talk to everyone as much as I'd like, but it was still lots of fun! My pics didn't turn out the best...I'll blame it on the wrong setting, not the amount of alcohol in the photographers blood. We had a blast, and I think the kids out numbered the adults this year. But it was obvious they had fun too! We had lots of talking, reminiscing, poker, euchre, and 4 sets of corn hole going on at once. Ooh, I forgot the basketball games, scooters, trikes, kickball, those watching the football games, and a few drinking games. Wow! What a day!

Needless to say, Sunday was definitely a day of rest!

We're Back!

Sorry, I haven't posted for awhile... I've been trying to catch up on our laundry and getting ready for the Hogroast (that post will be coming later) Well as you may know, we took a trip out to Las Vegas for a long weekend last weekend (Halloween weekend) with some friends of ours. What a wild time we had! Lots of fun, but not much winning! Too many stories to tell on here, but if you want a laugh or two...just let me know I'll give you some funnies! Here are a few of the pics from our weekend. The weather was nice...even a bit nicer than here, but not much. Sounds like everyone had a nice weekend last weekend. Vegas is nice for a couple of days, but much more than that and I'm ready to come home. Jerry is a bigger gambler than I and he said he doesn't think he'll ever go back. We have been there quite a few times though.

One of the best parts of the trip for me was getting the chance to go watch part of the National Event at the Las Vegas Drag Strip. It is an awesome track...I think Jerry and Dan would have rather been racing than watching, but it was fun for them too!
We missed the girls and they were happy to see us when we got home! That is the best part of coming home....knowing you have been missed! Needless to say Grandma & Grandpa were happy to see us too! They take such good care of the girls...I don't know what we'd do without them...always ready and willing to take the girls! What a blessing they are for us! Hope you enjoyed the pics.

Trick or Treat!!

Trick or treat smell my feet, give me something good to eat, if you don't I don't care, I'll pull down your underwear! Luckily, my girls don't know that one yet. But they didn't need to use it at all, they got so much candy and we didn't even go for the full 2 hours!

We went over to our friends house who lives "in town" to go hit the town. It was kind of weird, because in of all my 32+ years I have never trick or treated in my own home town. We had a great time. it was a little chilly...ok, a lot chilly, especially when the wind blew, but we still had lots of fun. We actually walked for about 45 min. or so and then went and thawed out at Amy's and then went back out for another short 15-20 min trip. The girls still got a lot of candy and goodies. Here are some pics from the night. Laine was a Medieval Queen, Grace was an Asian Princess and Emma was a Medieval girl. Our friends little boy is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, he was such a cutie! Check out my two dark haired girls. They looked so different.

Hope you all had a great time with your own ghosts and goblins!

#3 is is doing #1 & # 2 on the Big Potty!!!!

WAY TO GO EMMA!!!! MOMMY IS SOOOOO PROUD OF YOU!!!

She is giving me the "thumbs up" after going #2!
Only mom's will understand my excitement!

As most of you know she has been working on this for a while now, but she has not had an accident in over a week (except the whole nap incident, which we will blame Daddy for) and is now doing duty #2 for me on the potty, so I'm going to say...We are finished with Potty Training forever....or until my kids have kids, but that will be different. You new moms may ask, are you sad to see the diapers go? I will reply with, HECK NO!!!
Our self portrait...I'm studying and she was watching Max & Ruby

We just had another fun and exciting week/weekend.
Isn't her hair beautiful? Hee Hee! I think I should call Heather!

Monday - Laine & Grace had V-ball
Tuesday - Emma had school

Wednesday - worked on the house chores that had been ignored for too long
Thursday - Went Halloween costume shopping at my least favorite store in town, got in an argument with 2 of the 3 daughters, but came home with a costume that we are all happy with.

Friday - Well, to tell you the truth I don't really remember what we did.

Saturday - Laundry, went to the Applefest with Danni and Haley, socialized with a ton of people and enjoyed the smells, sights, and tastes out there - by the way it was a perfect day for that. Went and got paint to paint 4 cornhole boards, brought them home and painted them. (1st coat only) Managed to paint all four while Emma was sleeping, thank goodness! We (Laine, Grace & Me) still ended up with paint all over us. Jerry went racing at Muncie so we went to the girls' all time favorite place to eat McDonalds...ugh! From there we ran over to Convoy with Amy S. and had fun at another jewelry party!!! Angie also did this one... she only has 3 weeks to go until she has new bundle of joy! She seemed pretty uncomfortable, so let's hope baby shows up anytime now.

Sunday - Laundry, pick up, paint 2nd coat on the cornhole boards, watch Laine & Grace bake a cake, do my "homework", and take a entire family trip to the grocery store (Walmart - ugh). I don't feel so bad spending so much when Jerry is there to help with the kids, I wasn't steaming when I walked out of there today! We played a little while out side today, too. Trying to take in the beautiful Autumn days while we still can. Haven't they been wonderful!!!! Hope it will stay like this until next spring! :) Laine was a great help tonight and gave Emma her bath. All you mom's with little ones on the way, when Laine gets old enough, she will be a great babysitter!!
My young bakers! The cake said "BOO" but we ate it before I remembered to take the picture. It is delicious!

I've scattered photos in along the way, I hope you all are having a great fall. Enjoy the nice weather while it keeps cooperating!
